The Hustle Behind Boise Real Estate
Breaking the Stereotypes
When most people think of real estate agents, the stereotypes often come to mind—greasy salespeople, low education, flashy smiles. But as Michael and his team put it, that couldn’t be further from the truth. “Everyone thinks real estate is just putting a sign in the yard and unlocking doors,” Michael explained. “But 95% of the time, you’re walking into someone’s life at a major turning point—death, divorce, diapers, degrees, even retirement. These are deeply emotional transactions, and it takes more than a smile to guide people through them.”
More Than Just a Job
The hustle is real. Early mornings, long nights, constant showings, and endless problem-solving—it’s not the easy money gig many imagine. “I think a lot of agents are in it for the money,” Michael admitted. “What they don’t realize is it’s much harder than it looks. This is people’s biggest investment, and they’re trusting you to guide them through it.”
Authenticity Matters
In a world where appearances are everything, Michael and his team believe authenticity always wins. “Sure, looking the part helps,” he said with a laugh, “but people want to work with someone they can trust. The most successful agents aren’t always the flashiest. They’re the ones who show up as themselves—authentic, consistent, and willing to hustle.”
Media as a Tool for Connection
With Michael’s background in acting, media has become a powerful tool for building trust and connection. “If you don’t think of yourself as a media company, whether you’re in real estate, technology, or hair, you’re going to fall behind,” he explained. From YouTube (already topping 11,000 subscribers) to social media, Michael believes storytelling is the key to reaching people. “We share our lives, our struggles, and yes, sometimes even a shirtless moment or two. It’s about being real with people.”
Advocacy Beyond Real Estate
Outside of transactions, Michael and his team are deeply invested in advocacy and community. Michael serves on the board of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance Idaho chapter and is active in events like Boise Pride and Canyon County Pride. “Real estate isn’t a nine-to-five for us,” he shared. “It’s a lifestyle. We work hard, we show up for our community, and we hustle every single day.”
Building Bridges, One Transaction at a Time
Even when clients don’t share the same political or personal views, Michael sees real estate as a way to connect people. “In order for this world to get better, we have to bridge gaps and spend time with people who aren’t like us. As long as it’s respectful and supportive, there’s good to be done—and if we can help someone find a home along the way, even better.”
